Say, do you have a guess on how much yarn you needed for the i-cord edging? I was thinking 2 50-gram balls of sock yarn, but now I'm worried I didn't set enough aside (I want the whole edging in a single color.)

I was going to do toe up socks anyway, since it seems easier to figure out how far to go that way. I was aiming for ankle socks, so I'm going to assume there's plenty of yarn for that. Ohhh I can't wait to get started! Need to get the right size needles, the ones I've got are too big lol.
Oh, and the colorway of the yarn I got, the pictures so didn't do it justice. I love it!

Question though, I've tried to google for it, but haven't had any luck. Since it's ultramerino, what are the care instructions for it?

Thanks for the link! Your blankie looks great and although i-cord is kind of a pain, I will probably do what you're doing as well. I need to make the thing wider again as I haven't yet reached the full width, but I'm running out of spaces (unless I want a giant triangle). What is your goal size for the blanket? I was thinking 45 by 60...
