wow! over 100?! that’s amazing! ooohhh, isp/dsl issues. that’s too bad…but i’ll definitely keep checking your blog out for the blanket pattern. i hope the computer bugs get sorted out soon!

Hi Shelly, here is the email that I sent you earlier:
It is a very small world…I check Steph’s YarnHarlot site everyday and I thought, what a cool idea to start a sock yarn leftover blanket. I have small feet and my boyfriend has large-ish feet (more than one skein for a pair of socks) so I thought I could contribute some leftover yarn for good kharma and then start my own. I then looked at the post that Steph linked to and I saw that your daughter looked half asian (thinking to myself, nah…it can’t be) and then I saw the picture of Joe! I grew up w/Joe in the twin cities (went to the same church! I love his parents—very cool!). So, now that you have the song, ‘It’s a Small World After All’ going in your head (sorry about that), I want to send some trekking 100 to you. If you send me your address I will send it on over. Or, I can give it to my mom to give to Joe’s mom at church and she can get it to you (I will be in the twin cities area this weekend!). And tell Joe that Grace Lee (Fred’s sister—I think Joe will know who we are) says hi!

Oh, and I would love the pattern when you get a spare (hah!) moment.

Hi Shelley- I’d send an e-mail but don’t want to further complicate the issues Popped a package in the mail to you today. We are heading out quite early Saturday AM for a two week vacation so I’m very glad you were able to reply to my e-mail before the problems ensued. I look forward to reading about the piles of yarn descending on your house when I return- put you on my bloglines so I shant forget.

Any thoughts on making extra blankets for local charities? I haven’t really got enough yarn remnents left for it to really seem worth sending, however Stephanie’s suggestion that we bury your house was tempting. I’m thinking that a charity knit would be nice, and will definitely make sending the yarn a good use of time.
