That stinks about the backordered yarn. Oh well, what can you do.

I was surprised to see myself in this blog post...yep, just look very closly at the photo of you snuggling Sophie. See those super cool people walking down the street? I think that's us! ;)

Loved the "pre-disaster" pool shot from a few posts back.

I love the look of the melon yarn at swissknits! I can't wait to order some for myself. Love the kids pictures, it was nice of Joe to go along with you. My hubby isn't always the best sport at times, but goes along too. It will be fun to see the leggings as they progress.

Shelly, what is the purpose of the provisional cast on? I was thinking it was for the picot edge?
I was curious because I originally wanted to make the Juicy Melon socks with a picot edge... but didn't have the time to do my research on how to do it... I really need to have some time to look into things more (my constant whine)...
So I ask my question with sincerity, trying to learn...

I cast on for my second sock last night. Pictures in a few days. I always cast on for sock 2 when sock 1 is ready for the heel flap... the "SwissKnits" way of two socks at the same time... LOL :P

BTW my youngest is 4.5... I can still remember that squishy body hug feeling... as well as the awesome memories of all the nursing hours that I spent with all three kids... many times I have to make myself remember those feelings so that I will keep them here at home and not send them off to boarding school... my other two are 9 and 12... times are not so smooth around here...OY
