The sock is looking good. I like the yarn.

So sorry about your cousin. My son got shot last year in a hunting accident. Nothing has ever ripped my heart to shreds so deeply. He made a full recovery, and I hope the same for your cousin.

Good new about your cousin. Love the sock. I've been debating on starting that pattern, too since I read about it on your blog. Too many projects on the needles at the moment, though.

I've been eyeing that pattern myself. Great name for a colorway, I'd be boogying around singing that song every time I wore them.

I hear you on fiddly sock knitting. But that pattern might make for a interesting class idea since it would allow you to teach that method of short rows.
Currently I'm swatching with Lorna's Laces Shepherd sock for the Kyla fingerless mitt (and adjusting the pattern) when I have other things I should be knitting for the gift giving season. Sigh... some yarns and patterns just call to a person.
Glad you cousin will be OK. I have known two people in my life that have been hunting and ended up accidentally killed: one was shot by his brother and one was shot by his son -- different hunting accidents --both tragedies.
