I can't believe I just said...
Hey, Sophie's asleep. Pick up your books and put them away so we can go
downstairs and eat potato chips and watch tv.
downstairs and eat potato chips and watch tv.
(Julie was resting quietly in her room while I put Sophie down, and I
had promised her the rare treat of chips, left over from our lunch out,
while she watches a video, so I can rest and commune with blankie for a
few minutes. And go to the bathroom unsupervised.)

::whispers:: Enjoy it! (Sad that alone-time in the bathroom is so precious, isn't it? Mine are 16 & 10 and they still holla at me through the door.)
am I at the right blog? ;)
It's those types of treats that make for some sweet memories.
You know, it's not really bad until you start hiding knitting in the bathroom for those rare alone times. I once made an entire blanket in the bathroom. No, not all at once.
Go to the bathroom unsupervised? That will be the day afer you drop Sophie off at college!
Mine learned how to unlock the bathroom door with a credit card when Mom was in the shower and they needed something in there RIGHT NOW!
