Lace?
I can't believe nobody even bothered to guess what the lace from yesterday was. Let's look at another picture of the finished piece blocking.

It was quite the logistical challenge to figure out the best way to block this little bugger, but I think my solution worked pretty well. It's now off the box, drying from step two of the blocking process. More pictures tomorrow, probably, but in the meantime...any guesses?

Its a lace funnel cozy, of course!
Yeah, I've got nothing.
hmmm, it is beautiful...that is for sure! My guess is totally influenced by the fact that I am knitting the Hemlock Ring throw....is it a throw?
It's a lace trimmed sock. And it's lovely!
I'll guess that it's either a sock with a fold-over lace cuff or the cuff of a sweater. But, knowing what I do about you, I'm going to guess it's a sock.
Is it a baby bonnet? :)
A whimple?
I guessed sock with a lace cuff yesterday. Apparently, my saying so in my head doesn't actually post a comment. Hmmm...
hmmm. Is it a tea cozy?
Trimming for a small bouquet?
looks like a cuff of some king but too big for a sock.
A hat? - naahhh
no clue - you must be very clever! I'm not
It looks like a lace collar that extends down to the shoulders.
Looks like cuffs to wear under a jacket. I know I saw a pair a shile back, maybe in IK? I remember seeing them and admiring them... though with kids, I would ruin them too soon for all that work... They would be perfect to wear to a wedding, or other lavish affair.
A pattern similar to The Point About Cuffs by Vicky Square?
I'm going to guess a wine bottle cozy. You mention Summer and it'd be a nice way to give a bottle to a friend at a party.
I'm going to guess that it is a pair of cute little knit kid pants with lace trim around the bottom.
For spring and summer... I'm thinking it might be edging for a short sleeved top or perhaps some fun legging-shorts for Sophie? I'm intrigued...
I like the lace funnel cozy guess! If that is what is actually is, I'm sorry for laughing. It could also be a lacy cozy for a "womans best friend". Sorry, thats naughty. My bad. I think it is a lacy sock cuff.
Prettier than normal coffee cup holder?
lacy cuffed baby bootee?
I didn't guess because my brain just isn't working these days. Daylight savings has really messed with me. I'm staying up too late and an dragging around in the mornings. My guess is a lace collar for a sweater?
Totally can't figure out what that is!?
I'm going to have to go with the funnel cozy, when I get done laughing. And I have to comment on yesterday's post...I think you used the words "my yarn closet". You are brilliant. Here I have mine stashed in boxes and baskets everywhere. Also, if I can beg you for a sock related favor, and if you have time before Sunday, could you please go over to ravelry and vote for my sock? The Socktopia group is having a contest in honor of the founder of Socktopia who died last month of Lupus. The prize is a hank of orange and purple yarn. Orange because that was her favorite color and purple for Lupus. Go to the February Themes thread and look for the sock by me, Yarndork and clink on the love button. If you can't or dont' have time or just don't feel like it, don't worry. I just thought I'd ask. More detail are on my blog too, if you're interested.
Toilet paper cozy?
A collar?
A funny sock?
I haven't a clue!
It sort of reminds me of a lace angel tree topper like thing that I found in an ancient copy of Knitters magazine.
I think it looks like a polo neck without the rest of the jumper - the sort of thing that you put on when it's a bit nippy but you really want to wear your other jumper with a lower neckline. Whatever it is - it is pretty
definitly the cuff to baby's bloomers.
Easter Basket Liner?
Looks like a lace sock for summer.
My guess is a banana cozy.
