I'm sure I wasn't the first person to invent this when the kids were being potty trained, but the best investment I ever made was an extra mattress cover. I'd put on a cover and a fitted sheet, as one does, and then repeat. That way, when little (wet) one came in at dang o'clock in the morning all I had to do was peel off the wet stuff and at least the bed was ready. I still had to clean up the kid though!

I am altogether WAY too amused about your wonderful word "crappe" - and I think I just may have to start using it my own self. Makes it ever so posh :)

My Sock War socks are wearable, but if I take my shoes off even my non-knitting friends can see they weren't knitted by the same people! The gauge is COMPLETELY different and I think someone got the pattern wrong a bit. In any case they are pretty and I too am glad to be dead. Apparently knitting deadlines aren't great for me. Good luck with the garage sale, that is weird that they do sales on Thursday, it's always Saturdays here that are the big days.

All the best with the garage sale. I have never had the patience to collect all the junk at once. I just have continual small purgings to charity, relatives (kids clothes & toys) and friends. The local kinder is a very appreciative recipient too. It is neverending though - how do we end up with so much stuff?? (yarn excluded of course)

I got unwearable socks as well...nice yarn but the wrong kind (sport yarn). I didn't bother sending them back as I'm glad to be "dead" too but I didn't think it was in the spirit of the game. I'm going to frog them and use the yarn for something else...ciao
