I’m so grateful for your video. I’ve been flirting with the idea of spinning. I saw your Sock Yarn Blanket on Ravelry and followed the link to here. Love the blog! Thank you and the hubby (those boys can be such good sports!) for this. It makes the idea of spinning so much more tangible and down to earth. Odd these days that doing things for yourself can seem so out of reach… Thank you again!

Nah, just kidding. Thanks for the effort, guys. If only I were allowed to take any cameras into work I could show you how the titanium needles were made!

Is it possible to “coast,” or do you have to treadle constantly to keep the wheel spinning? Some good bearings and a heavier, flywheel-like circumference on the wheel could probably save you a lot of effort.

Obviously, though, if you were into saving effort you’d just buy yarn off the shelf, right?
