Before I went I asked my son if he thought they could survive without me. He looked at me very earnestly and said "Mom, I don't think we can" :-). They did, and maybe when SOAR comes back to the east coast, they will again. I started reading your blog simply because I loved the title, but it sounds like we have a bit in common.

At the end of it I was nearly snatching strange children from the parents to hug them. Fortunately for all concerned, I held my impulses in check. <br/><br/>Of course, I wasn't at an awesome knitting weekend. I love the projects on your needles and it is fun to get a peek into what is going on there. Thanks for your honesty about the discomfort. It is good to observe that kind of stuff and understand it - opens doors to learning about others as well as yourself. I remember the first time I was away from the kiddos (many years ago).
