I have to tell you that I've gotten several judgey comments over the
last few days, and I can't help but respond a bit to them. So, in no
particular order, here are a few responses that have been rattling
through my head:
A) who the hell do you think you are, and what the hell do you think you
know about my actual life, my actual situation, my thought process, my
family, anything of importance really? That's a rhetorical question by
the way.
B)well, there are a bunch more, but A really does suffice.
Whew! Meanwhile, guess what I've gone and done…picked up a new laptop
to replace the ever-more-rapidly-failing old one. Details soon once I've
got it all set up, plus maybe something of actual knitting-related
interest (see blob between computers in photo)
Go ahead and think what you want, see if I care…
The really annoying comments are always the anonymous ones, aren’t they? If they weren’t cowardly pussies they’d at least have the guts to put their name on it.
Say what you want! No one’s MAKING Anonymous read this, right?
I am not sure what you ever might have said that needed judgement. Maybe it is cause we are so like minded, you and I. Twin sisters from different mothers. I love your blog posts and hope no silly anonymous commenters ever keep you from sharing your life with us.
Wow, there are some people who are really interested in bringing others down, aren’t there? You keep doing your thing. You aren’t the problem, they are. I’ve got your back in Iowa City.
I’m with Ann, I’m not seeing much to judge about what you’ve written, and I’m a kind of judgemental person at times. If I knew you in “real life” I think I’d definitely want to have a glass of wine with you!
No judgement from me… as I shared my story.
There will always be someone saying something… as my husband tells me… ‘like a duck, water off your back’…
As I have said before… it’s *your* blog, and you get to say what you want!!
Just ignore those comments. That’s what a blog is for, isn’t it. You get to write what you want to. You go girl!!!!!
I agree 100% that it is YOUR bog, you get to say what you want. Most of us need that outlet for venting and it’s nice to read other people’s blogs and know we are not alone! You tell ‘em like it is!!!
I am sorry you had some negative comments, I think you totally rock and need to just keep on keepin’ on…
I don’t get it? If they don’t like what you have to write then maybe they should just move along and find a blog that has the same ideals as them? I don’t understand people.
I find it ironic that the one comment that finds fault with your post is the one commenter that doesn’t have the guts to sign his/her own name.
In my judgment – you’re a pretty great person! The persona you present on the blog is wonderful – woman, wife, mom, knitter, blogger (and composter, too!). So I say to heck with what others say. (That person is most likely green with envy!)
I really enjoy reading your blog. I was serious about the composting, too, I thought about you as I was out in my yard the other day. I was thinking “Hey, I could put a compost pile over here, just like the Heathen Housewife…”
See – you’re doing great things and don’t even know it.
Fooey on those who are too small-minded and like to bring others down.
Dude, you got a Dell!
It’s your blog, say what you want. I’m so thankful you have this blog because we wouldn’t have met otherwise. Can’t wait to hear more about the new computer and knitting project.
Don't berate yourself for crumbs under the table as a potential attraction for ants. I have no little kids in full time residence, and so a paucity of crumbs. The ants come anyway. Keeping them in check could be a full time project, if it didn't get in the way of knitting.
